Farm-City Week Applications Available

Posted on November 23, 2009. Filed under: Farm-City Week |

Harvest is here again and that means it is time for Farm-City Week activities. Hopefully, every county in South Carolina will have some activity to commemorate Farm-City Week. If there are Farm-City Week activities in your county, we would like to hear about them and recognize the efforts.

The Farm-City Week Committee will be judging counties again this year and giving awards to the county with the “Best Overall County Farm-City Program,” the “Best Farm-City Individual Event,” and the “Best Farm-City Youth Event.” Two counties will also be recommended to receive National Farm-City awards. In order to be considered for one of these awards an application must be completed and submitted.

Applications will be due in the Colleton County Farm Service Agency office by March 1, 2010. Awards will be presented during the spring meeting of the SC Ag Council. If you would like a copy of the award entry form mailed to you, please contact Lynn Huggins, SC Ag Council Farm-City Week Chairman,,  and she will be happy to send you a copy.

If you have any questions, please call Lynn at 843-549-1821, Ext. 109.
